Our Mission

For the Love of Cats, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in the community. We are a no kill , all volunteer rescue group operating through the generous donations of the community members. From our start in 2002 to the end of 2010, we have rescued over 1500 kittens and sterilized over 1000 adult cats in the community. In addition to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of abandoned domestic cats and kittens, For the Love of Cats is dedicated to the management of feral (un-adoptable) cats found in the community through Trap-Neuter-Return.Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors are humanely trapped, vaccinated, and sterilized. They are then under the lifelong care of volunteers who supply fresh food and water daily as well as monitor the health of each cat in the colony.

Every kitten and cat brought to our private shelter receives the best medical care thanks to the support of local veterinarians. Volunteers are scheduled daily to help maintain the highest standard of care and to give their love, compassion and nurturing in order to help the cats and kittens to be ready for their new “forever” home.

Our mission is to end the cruelty of pet over-population. Our programs include working with the community to sterilize stray and feral cats through TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), rescue, foster, sterilization, and adoption for kittens and abandoned domestic cats, assisting the public in need with low cost spay/neuter and medical fees along with support programs to help people to keep their pets.
